TOPPAN NEXT (TNX) is excited to announce its collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Ethiopia, to nurture and develop local talent for leadership in the printing industry.

As part of this initiative, 10 recent graduates have received full sponsorships to travel to Beijing, where they are currently undergoing a six-month Industrial Attachment Sponsorship Program at TOPPAN Leefung Beijing, a wholly owned subsidiary of TNX which commenced at the end of February.

This unique program will immerse these graduates in best-in-class management practices, advanced technology applications, and cutting-edge production processes in offset printing. By working alongside seasoned experts at TOPPAN Leefung Beijing, the graduates will gain invaluable exposure to the global standards of the printing industry.

Strengthening Ethiopia’s Printing Industry

TNX has also collaborated with Beijing Institute of Graphic Communications (BIGC) to offer the Ministry of Education, Ethiopia a customized Printing Engineering Program, specifically tailored for graduates of BSPE. This program will equip the next generation of Ethiopian engineers with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the printing industry.

“This program represents more than just technical training, it’s an investment in the future of Ethiopia’s printing and technology industries,” said Terence Ng, Vice President, CEO office. “By combining world-class expertise from TOPPAN Leefung and tailored education from BIGC, we’re empowering these young professionals to become catalysts for innovation and growth in their home country.”

This initiative is a key step in supporting Ethiopia’s growing talent pool, fostering international collaboration, and contributing to the development of the country’s printing and technology sectors.

We anticipate the significant impact this partnership will have and are confident that these graduates will return to Ethiopia equipped with the expertise and skills to drive innovation and leadership in their field.
