Comprising of CEO Chee Tong, CFO Tee Kiat, and Chief Legal Officer Suan Choo, the senior advisory team at TOPPAN NEXT takes a company-wide perspective to set the long-term strategic direction, growth targets and broad business objectives for all portfolio companies. Chee Tong attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and was a Singapore Government Merit Scholar holding an MBA and a MSc in Engineering from the National University of Singapore. Having previously worked at PwC, Tee Kiat attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and holds a BSc in Accounting from the Nanyang Technological University Singapore.

How does a day in your life look like?
Suan Choo: That’s tough to answer! Some days we find ourselves in Addis Ababa, other days in Bogotá! Though our portfolio companies largely run independently, they’ve become better off after joining us through acquisition or incubation. We go where they go, when it makes sense of course.
Tee Kiat: Our goal as a team is to centralise strategic guidance and financial & legal due diligence for acquisitive opportunities. These are not only at Group level, but at subsidiary level too. These ‘shared activities’ add value to our subsidiaries with ongoing tangible advantages.
